City of Auburn Hills—Municipal Campus Renovation (Dodge Estate)
The Auburn Hills Municipal Campus is part of the estate of millionaire real estate developer Wesson Seyburn, husband of Winifred Dodge. The original 1920's buildings, including stables and kennels have been eventually adapted as buildings for government use. There is even an early 1900's windmill on the property. When Auburn Hills was incorporated as a city in 1983, it worked with architects and designers to retain the history of the grounds and to complement the original old buildings. New buildings such as the Public Safety Building and the Community Center have been recently built. Visitors and city workers enjoy the lovely campus.
