Renovation of the Coach Barn of the Historic Botsford Inn
The Coach House (Barn) was built in the 1880's; it was dismantled, moved and reconstructed near the Botsford Inn in 1924 by Henry Ford. It was used for entertaining from the 1950's to the 1990's, being attached to a banquet hall and the Botsford Inn.
The entire Inn and Coach House subsequently became the property of Botsford Hospital. In the path of construction for a cancer center 2008, the Coach House was saved from demolition by being deemed historic, and was moved by the Stewarts to their property where it was united with their 1845 Greek Revival home, also moved by Ford and by the Stewarts. The Barn now as an educational resource for students and the site of many parties and meetings.
