Finnish Center Association, Farmington Hills—Finlandia Gardens Project

Finnish Center Association, Farmington Hills—Finlandia Gardens Project The South Central Portage Greenway (SCPG) is comprised of four contiguous park properties totaling over 300 acres in the city.

Two of the parks are nature preserves, dedicated to protecting sensitive bog and wetland areas with unique floating trails and interpretive nature routes.

Bishop's Bog Preserve is registered with the Nature Conservancy, and West Lake Nature Preserve is listed the Michigan Wildlife viewing guide. Shrier Park is the city's original nature study park and is the site of many camps and programs. South Westnedge Park is the location of city softball fields and a skatepark.

A central 1.5 mile trail connects all four parks with over 5 miles of trails available for public use.
