Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center—Marquee Project

The Marquee Project was a celebration of community spirit! It was the final step in the exterior renovation of the Trenton Village Theatre which began in 2000 and which is the home of the Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center. Many volunteers worked together to bring about the installation of the new marquee. An art competition for the design of dramatic masks brought in many entries which will be permanently displayed in the theatre. A Masked Ball and Auction was a well attended black tie event that successfully raised the funds to complete the new marquee.
A Courtyard, to be installed this summer, will be the final step in the exterior renovation of the theatre.
