Stewards of Kleinstuck, Kalamazoo—Nature Preserve
Kleinstuck Preserve is a unique 48 acre Nature Preserve in the middle of Kalamazoo that serves as a respite for humans, and an area for flora and fauna. The Stewards of Kleinstuck, which is owned by Western Michigan University, are volunteer neighbors, ecologists and University students and faculty who are actively engaged in restoring health and beauty to the Preserve. Through their work, they have promoted environmental stewardship in the community and improved the aesthetics and biodiversity of the Preserve. The legacy of this project will we appreciated for many generations in the future.
