77 acres of polluted railroad and scrap yards along the St. Clair River have been redeveloped thanks to the endowment of Acheson Ventures, a Port Huron based land development company. This project has brought residential, commercial and recreational development to Port Huron's south side community. A place once covered with contaminated railroad ties now has nautical access, recreational opportunities, historic and community events such as Easter egg hunts, art shows and even tall ship visits. It is a true gateway to the City of Port Huron.
